Two of my favorites are the "solid" sky of Genesis ("firmament"--raqi'a) in Hebrew-- means something that is beaten out like a metal dish or bowl, and elsewhere in the OT it is described as "hard as a mirror of molten metal") and the "waters above the firmament," which are said elsewhere in the OT to "endure forever," but obviously they are not up there, nor is the sky solid.
