I've made this post before, but with no response. In Deuteronomy 24:16, Yahweh informs us it is wrong to kill somebody for somebody elses sins. In 1st Samuel 15:3-4, he orders the death of the Amalekites for the sins of their ancestors 450 years prior. In this order, he includes infants. Now, to say one thing or proclaim a law in this case, and then say the opposite or to break one's own law in this case, is to contradict yourself. Now, the Christian god is supposed to be perfect. Notice what perfect means TOTALLY without flaw. I contradiction is by definition a flaw. I hate to break it to the Christians, but the in the above scenario,

Yahweh has contradicted himself. A perfect god could not break his own law, that would be a display of contradictory behavior, and negate his perfectness.

Furthermore, what we have here is a case of Yahweh going back on his word. He says don't kill others for the sins of their fathers, but than says kill others for the sins of their fathers. Their are only two reasons to break your word, either you never meant to keep it in the first place, making you a liar (the bible says Yahweh is incapable of lying), or circumstances arose that prevented you from keeping your original word (Yahweh is supposedly all powerful, what could arise that would keep him from keeping his law?). Either Yahweh does not possess the attributes given him in the bible, making the bible in error, or Yahweh doesn't exist at all (my vote). Either way serious flaws exist in the Judeo-Christian religion.

P.S. Speaking of attributes, what does the slaughter of innocent babies say about infinite mercy, justice, and goodness? A sadistic killer worthy of death (and I oppose the death penalty) is what Yahweh represents in my opinion.
