This seems to be uncriticially assuming that Jesus is God. Well let's say
I decided to recognize God and confess/repent to Him, but considered the
idea that "Jesus is God" to be ridiculous, ill-proven, etc. I could become
a Jew, a Muslim or even a Jehovah's Witness. Where would that leave me?
According to many Christians, I'd still be going to HELL.
