These quotes I gave came from seemingly reputable sources and
are being taught in American classrooms today. Only ONE thus
far has been shown to be incorrect *in part*. Obviously, they
are widespread since there has been at least one book printed
referring to them.

Because the sentiments being expressed quite obviously went with
the beliefs of the person being quoted.

This depends on what you mean by single animal. One specific
animal was not the common ancestor of both chimps and humans,
but one single class of animal was the common ancestor of both.
Anyone who knows a bare minimum of evolution knows this, and
indeed, it could be no other way since all life on this planet
came from one common ancestor.
However, this is no 'belief' of mine. You should learn what the
word 'believe' actually means.

And just how will you know when this might occur? Intuition?
Revelation? Guess? And why should I want you to read anything
of mine. I'm looking for reasonable minds, not closed minds.
