There is a passage in the bible, often cited in our iconoclastic
literature, to the effect that "God shall send you a lie, that you may be
deceived."  

This would be quite useful to me for Friday morning, when I'll be seeing a
bible-thumping student who wrote a long religious testimonial to me on her
human physiology exam today.  If anybody has quick reference to this
passage, I'd love to have the chapter and verse at the ready when she comes.
