False statements were not made at all? Well, let's look at the facts as
they are stated in the inspired, inerrant word of God.
>1 Kings 22:4 He [Ahab] said to Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to battle
at Ramoth-gilead?" Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel, "I am as you
are; my people are your people, my horses are your horses."

hundred of them, and said to them, "Shall I go to battle against
Ramoth-gilead, or shall I refrain?" They said, "Go up; for Yahweh will give
it into the hand of the king."
>
Now the prophets said, "Go up [to Ramoth-gilead], for Yahweh will give it
into the hand of the king." Was that a true statement? No, it was a false
statement, because Ahab went against Ramoth-gilead and not only suffered
defeat but was killed (22:29-37). So obviously what the prophets told Ahab
was a false statement. The only question now is to determine what was
responsible for this false statement. Was it just something that the
prophets took upon themselves to say? That's not what your inspired,
inerrant word of God says.
>19 Then Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of Yahweh: I saw Yahweh
sitting on his throne, with all the host of heaven standing beside him to
the right and to the left of him.
>20 And Yahweh said, 'Who will entice Ahab, so that he may go up and fall
at Ramoth-gilead?' Then one said one thing, and another said another,
>21 until a spirit came forward and stood before Yahweh, saying, 'I will
entice him.'
>22 'How?' Yahweh asked him. He replied, 'I will go out and be a lying
spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' Then Yahweh said, 'You are to
entice him, and you shall succeed; go out and do it.'
SO NOW LET'S NOTICE VERY CAREFULLY WHAT MICAIAH SAID NEXT.
>23 So you see, YAHWEH HAS PUT a lying spirit in the mouth of ALL these
your prophets; YAHWEH has decreed disaster for you."
>
Micaiah didn't say that Yahweh had put a lying spirit into the mouths of
SOME of Ahab's prophets. He said that Yahweh had put a lying spirit into
the mouths of ALL of the prophets. And what did these prophets with the
lying spirit in their mouths say to Ahab? "Go up [to Ramoth-gilead], for
Yahweh will give it into the hand of the king." That was a lie. It didn't
happen, and Ahab was even killed.
So now, Randy, why don't you explain to us in specific terms, and not just
another one-line denial, why we should not understand this story to mean
that false statements WERE made and that they were made because of the lying
spirit that Yahweh had PUT into the mouths of Ahab's prophets?
Or can we just expect to see you duck and dodge again?
