Who said I was denying someone's personal experience? I'm sure that there
are people who sincerely think that they have had personal encounters with
God, but there is just no way to verify that these encounters were real or
just the result of emotionalism. Therefore, they are worthless.
I'll give you a simple example. If you have ever talked with any of the
Mormon "elders" who go from door to door, you have probably heard them say
that they KNOW that the book of Mormon is a true revelation from God,
because they prayed about it, and God told them that the book of Mormon is
indeed his special revelation. I don't doubt at all that many people have
prayed such prayers as this and then afterwards had some emotional feelings
that made them sure that God had answered their prayers.
QUESTION: How do you deny this kind of personal experience? Isn't it a
"powerful testimony"?
Jason, I'm sorry to see that in your absence, you seemed not to learn the
first think about logical thinking.
