I need some input. I am debating a Muslim on another list who thinks anyone
who insults Mohammed (i.e.. Blaspheme) in a Muslim state should be killed.
He justifies this by claiming that even the secular US does not allow full
freedom of speech. Below is the part of his post where claims this. 

How would you guys respond to it?

This is pure hypocrisy if you say or imply the West doesnt not attack one's
"freedom of speech."  You seem to forget the Cold War where people were
blacklisted, thrown in jail, kicked out the country, even assassinated, etc.,
all because they were sympathizers with Communism or ALLEGED sympathizers
with communism.  What do you think McCarthyism is about???  How is that for
your secular "freedom of speech?"
